Our fantastic volunteers and their pets bring happiness wherever they go.
Our volunteers are passionate about sharing the joy that therapy dogs bring. Whether visiting rest homes, hospitals, hospices, schools, or libraries, they give their time to create moments of comfort, connection, and happiness. Seeing smiles, hearing laughter, and knowing a simple visit can brighten someone’s day is what inspires our team to keep showing up.

Rest Homes
Pet therapy can make a meaningful difference to residents in rest homes by supporting emotional, social, and physical wellbeing in a gentle, non-clinical way. Therapy pet visits give residents something to look forward to.

Healthcare Facilities
Pet therapy in hospitals, Hospice can provide comfort, motivation, and emotional support for patients, families, and even healthcare staff during what is often a stressful time.

Reading in Schools
Children who feel nervous about reading aloud often relax when reading to a dog, because the dog doesn’t judge or correct them. This can improve reading fluency, motivation, and enjoyment of reading.

Community Centres and Libraries
Libraries and community centres aim to be safe, accessible places for everyone. Therapy animals help create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, encouraging people to stay longer, participate in activities, and feel like they belong.
Why pet therapy?
Animal-assisted therapy is all about the connection people form with animals. Being around animals can help people feel calmer, safer, and more relaxed during stressful moments.Â
Supporters believe that spending time with animals can boost confidence and trust, while also stabilizing emotions. Interacting with animals enhances vital skills like communication, self-control, and social skills.
Animals can bring joy, help ease loneliness and encourage social connection — both with the animal and with other people.
